Dr. Seungah Sarah Lee
Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and Organizations at HEC Paris in Qatar

She holds a PhD in Organization Studies and International Comparative Education from Stanford University. Prior to joining HEC Paris in Qatar, she was a Visiting Senior Lecturer at New York University Abu Dhabi. Her research centers around the emergence, institutionalization, and adaptation of global narratives, models, and best practices by organizations and the ways such processes influence individuals and society. She explores how nation-states and organizations negotiate the changing demands of a globalized world and adapt models for sustainable development to foster (social) entrepreneurship and innovation in their local contexts. Her most recent projects include studies on how semi-government organizations foster local entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems and how accelerators and incubators adapt global and local narratives and models to cultivate an entrepreneurial culture among youth in the Arab Gulf. Prior to academia, Dr. Lee worked in the Middle East and the US, leading organizational strategy, program design, and impact evaluation for newly established education nonprofits and providing policy research and advisory services.
